What I loved:
There was so much to love about my time with this Baliwood Boy. He immediately asked me what I like to see and do. I told him that I like cemeteries and that it was important to me to see the sunset from a good vantage point. We spent a beautiful day exploring an AMAZING ( as he would say:) cemetery and monument to war heros -- a place I’d never heard of (and it’s doubtful many tourists have!) and it was gorgeous. We also went to a secret jungle temple I’d heard about (from our “Adventure Gal”). Thankfully, he easily figured out which one I meant with just a short description. It was better than I’d imagined, and even had a giant reflection pool (and my favorite thing to photograph is… reflections!). I’ve since spoken to others who saw that temple, but not the pool. With another driver, I might have missed that gorgeous part of the experience. When I was hungry he took me to a charming secluded inn with their own organic garden and the lunch was, in a word, YUM! We finished the day racing to what ended up being the perfect sunset viewpoint. Ah… that’s what Bali is all about!
